Here are a few simple steps to get started: Choose a location for your garden that gets full sun to partial shade. Make sure the location gets bright sun for at least a portion of the day, especially if your garden will include cacti. Create a quick draining succulent/cacti soil by mixing even parts cactus soil (we like perlite in the soil for drainage) and a coarser material like gravel, sand or pumice. Pour into your new designated succulent garden area and smooth out. Place succulents several inches apart:. There is no set rule on this. It just depends on how fast you want your succulent garden to look full. Wait 1-2 weeks before watering your new garden. You will want to give the roots time to scar over from any damage that may have occurred from planting them. Water until soil is saturated, generally 5-10 min of hose time! Water only one to two times per month in spring and summer and only one time per month in the fall and winter (variable with your climate). ENJOY!
